John was the founder and president of John Catlin & Associates Architects, Inc.; a successful firm out of Boston, MA. In addition to his expertise in residential, commercial and historic projects, Mr. Catlin’s expertise in elderly design is evident through his involvement in the design of over fifty-five adult community centers throughout Massachusetts.  Mr. Catlin is well versed in advocating the needs and goals of the elders to City/Town Committees and has been extremely successful in working in conjunction with the Council’s on Aging to obtain city/town approval and financing.
